  2. The tolerance of the slot in Figure 14.50 is.004' and the tolerance of the mating part is.002'.
  3. The position tolerance controls the location and orientation of the slot to the datum reference frame. In this case, there is an inner boundary that the slot may not violate. The slot can move left, right, up or down, and even tip, as long as it does not come inside this boundary, which is probably the space needed by the mating part.
  4. Here you will find our range of aluminum profiles. You can buy it cut in different ways. Basically, there are two types of aluminum profile in our online store: B-type and I-type. This is particularly important when you choose the right connection technolog.

Slot Profile Tolerance Meaning

What is the best way to call out a slot? I have used basic dimension to reference the true center of the slot from 2 perpendicular datums. Then I called out the width of the slot and the height (the length from one tangent line off the full radius to the other tangent line) using standard dimension with tolerances. Then I called out the '2 X Full Radius' and also had a positioning block calling out diametric position of the center of the freature. Does this sound correct?
